This legendary German guitarist and composer is famous for his solo instrumental music on 6-string and 12-string guitars. Starting out in the late 70s with folk combo Wacholder, Steffen subsequently discovered the music of steel string raga pioneer Robbie Basho, which changed his musical outlook forever and saw Steffen appropriate Basho’s surname his name as a mark of lasting respect and affection.
